Our client, a major legal firm, is looking to hire a Legal Assistant (temporary position, maternity leave) in Business Law for their downtown Montreal office.

37.5h/week;

Responsibilities
Assist 3 lawyers + 1 partner on a daily basis by providing outstanding administrative and legal work;
Plan and organize work according to deadlines;
Manage associates' correspondence and diaries, and organize client and other meetings;
Revise and correct texts, agreements and various communications;
Open files, follow up on current dossiers and gather relevant information;
Prepare mandate letters;
Prepare invoices and follow up on receivables.
Qualifications
Completion of post-secondary studies (DEP, AEC or DEC) insecretarial and-or legal secretarial work or equivalent;
Have a minimum of two years' experience as a legal assistant, preferably in a large law firm;
Bilingual French/English;
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, as well as an interest in learning new software;
Have a strong commitment to customer service;
