The Business Operations Manager is responsible for managing the business affairs of the company. This is a dynamic role that changes frequently with the needs of the business. This role will be responsible for implementing business strategies, evaluating business performance, and supporting the development of new business activities and opportunities. This role will also be an instrumental partner in the support and development of our client's Management and Production team.

Responsibilities
•Ensures that the company is positioned to meet financial goals, objectives, and projected growth.
•Provide feedback and suggestions that improve effectiveness and efficiency throughout operations.
•Represent company at events, conventions, tradeshows and is the primary customer contact (customer liaison)
•Develop & Manage marketing collateral (literature, brochures, website, social media, etc.)
•Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, terms, quotations, proposals, etc.
•Cost proposals support for price analysis/strategy development.
•Identify new areas of growth for our client and work with necessary teams to put plans into place.
•Support and develop external sales teams.
•Develop and monitor sales budgets that align with the company's goals and objectives.
•Exercise good judgment when dealing with customers.
•Assist in the development of structured workforce plan and framework.
•Assist with Management team in planning, reporting, evaluating People and Culture results.
•Support employee policies and procedures to help improve employee performance.
•Assist with necessary recruitment and onboarding.
•Active member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee
•Support WSIB claims, environmental policies and promote safety in the workplace
•Other duties as required to support the operations of business.
Qualifications
•College or University Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related discipline.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Leadership skills to coach and train current and new staff members
•Confident in the ability to handle and diffuse stressful situations.
•Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy.
•Excellent Teamwork skills
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
•Aptitude for working with computers.
•Highly organized, flexible, motivated to help others succeed
•Maintains staff & business confidentiality
