What will you do?
As a Senior Business Solutions Engineer with our Vancouver client, you will:
• Collaborate with team members and customers to understand the objectives, needs and issues.
• Design information systems that deliver maximum business value to customers.
• Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for integrated user experiences.
• Elicit/capture business/non-functional requirements via meetings, workshops, interviews and existing processes.
• Validate business and non-functional requirements to ensure they meet desired outcomes.
• Perform user research, analyze user needs and align results with desired outcomes.
• Develop unambiguous user stories and clear uer acceptance criteria.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, wireframes, storyboards, user/process flows, site maps, prototypes and mock-ups.
• Apply Agile methodology; participating in team activities, ceremonies and continuously improve processes.
• Identify risks/issues and propose solutions to remove barriers.
• Act as subject matter expert and provide support, ad hoc training and guidance to users.
• Ensure business engineering artifacts are accurate, accessible, maintained and communicated to stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to team members.

What additional responsibilities will you have?
As a Senior Business Solutions Engineer with our Vancouver client, you will also:
• Collaborate with Product Owner to support strategic/tactical changes to business processes/supporting systems.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and Tech teams to support evolution of product roadmaps, applications and features.
• Drive adoption of core DevOps practices: CI/CD, test-driven development and automated testing.
• Guide definition, collection and/or analysis of the KPIs, metrics and reporting.
• Lead business engineering efforts of projects: business analysis, design, configuration, integration testing and production support.
• Act as surrogate Product Owner, providing guidance for team activities as required.
• Oversee end user acceptance testing, analyze results, clarify requirements and act as bridge between customers and DevOps team.

How do you qualify?
To qualify for the Senior Business Solutions Engineer role with our Vancouver client, you must have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years’ work experience as a technical Business Analyst or Business Engineer.
• 5+ years’ experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban).
• 3+ years’ experience delivering technology solutions in the Investment Management industry.
• Familiar with change management principles and practices relating to technology transformations.
• Professional certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) an asset.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud, DevOps and Agile projects.
