Responsibilities
1. Support Buyers: Clerical Tasks
Creation of items
Price adjustments in the electronic catalog
Follow-up on transport quotes
Ensure the appropriate inventory levels for the company across all business units
Support buyers during peak periods, replacements, and vacations
Main Responsibilities:
In line with the use of item creation tools, configure new codes in the system
Keep price catalogs updated for all business units
Perform root cause analysis on inventory variances, recommend changes to address the root cause, and optimize management procedures
Monitor inventory surpluses, stockouts, and, in collaboration with the relevant buyers and customer service, identify at-risk products and make recommendations to buyers
Participate in the creation of policies, procedures, and regulations
Support audit requirements to ensure quick delivery and responses to audit questions
Perform any other related tasks
Participate in various inventory meetings (including annual inventory counts)
Maintain appropriate inventory levels (stock rotation, $$ inventory history, hit analysis)
Maintain a high service level
Balance inventory between sites according to local needs (based on local hit nature)
Recommend changes when needed (shelf vs. non-shelf hits)
TOOLS AND SOFTWARE
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Dynamics D365/AX is a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Outlook, PowerBI
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, structured and organized thinking
Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and ability to manage pressure
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
Proactive, service-oriented attitude focused on internal customer service
Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to manage change
Team player, rigorous, and self-motivated
Excellent verbal and written communication in both English and French
Advanced computer skills, including data cross-processing
Identifies with the company's values
Required Qualifications:
University degree in Business Administration or Operations Management
6-8 years of relevant experience in inventory analysis
Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Experience in distribution industries (an asset)
