Responsibilities
Buyer's responsibilities:
- Researches new local suppliers of goods and services
- Negotiates contracts and service agreements with suppliers
- Completes RFQs and analyzes them
- Issues purchase orders
- Follows up on purchase orders with suppliers
- Answers calls from suppliers
- Follows up and follows up with suppliers
- Assists in coordinating transportation.
- Prepares documentation for merchandise returns
- Responds to internal customer purchase requests
- Conducts user analysis, analyzes annual purchases and recommends min-max adjustments, lead times, ABC classification
- Manages delivery times, inventory and stock levels according to established parameters and sales forecasts
- Analyzes variances from purchase order
- Participates in cost reduction project.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years experience in a purchasing position
- Proficiency in MS-Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of ERP systems
