Responsibilities
Lean Coach Responsibilities
• Primary responsibility is to lead implementation of the Lean Large scale Program
Management and Delivery system and help team members how to effectively use it to
deliver faster and better.
• Helping Leaders and Teams to understand value, to identify waste and to apply
appropriate tools and techniques to optimize the end-to-end value delivery pipeline
• Responsible for presenting to and strategically influencing middle management and
executive leadership.
• Promoting the principles of quality and continuous improvement (measurable)
• Advising and facilitating the adoption of engineering best practices or alternatively of
agile product development
• Plan and conduct structured Lean Continuous Improvement activities using LSS
methodologies and tools, such as A3 systematic problem solving.
• Plan, lead and facilitate Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to discover the most efficient flow
of value and design the Kanban delivery system to reflect such flow
• Monitor process outcomes of workflows and identify process improvement
opportunities
• Maintain leading knowledge of industry Lean Agile frameworks and provide guidance on
how, where, and why to adopt relevant practices
• Promoting a culture of continual learning and respect, which empowers our people and
makes work fun
Agile Coach Responsibilities
• Coach Portfolio Management team in all aspects of Planning, from Roadmap creation, PI
Planning, Sprint Planning
• Coach and hands-on guiding the Portfolio Management and Delivery teams, Agile
Estimation techniques
• Assist the Portfolio Management team in portfolio backlog creation and refinement
• Train and coach Product Owners (PO), Business Analysts (BA) and Business System
Analysts (BSA) with the creation of portfolio-level Capabilities and Features, performing
continuous prioritization/refinement of both portfolio and program backlogs
• Hands-on coaching and assisting the POs, BAs and BSAs in writing the INVEST type of
Business and Technology/Enabler Stories with well defined Acceptance Criteria
• Assist and Coach all team members effective and advanced use of Jira and Jira Advanced
Roadmaps
• Assist and Coach Developers, QA Leads and QA members how to write Test Cases, Test
Plans and Test Executions using the Jira Test Management Framework (JTMF)
• Develop and enable Product Managers as Business Content Authority Experts, by
facilitating Program Group (PG) readiness reviews, backlog refinement activities, and
Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshops
• Implement relevant Delivery metrics at the team, program, and portfolio levels
• Assist and Coach Project Managers (PMs), RTEs and ScrumMasters proper and effective
Execution Tracking that is reflected in Jira and used for Data Driven execution
Dashboards, as well as for all Executive and delivery Reportings.
Qualifications
• Practical experience in managing traditional Program Delivery Lifecycle (PDLC) and SDLC
projects. – 5+ years minimum
• Expert level knowledge of Jira, Jira Advanced Roadmap, Jira Test Add-on tools (e.g. xRay)
and Confluence
• Minimum of 5 years of practical Agile or Lean experience implementing and coaching
Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
• Expert knowledge of Agile principles and practices, with extensive experience working in
an Agile organization
NICE TO HAVE
• Expertise and practical application of LSS (Six Sigma) and Large Scale Agile
Implementations (e.g. SAFe)
• Scaled Agile Framework certifications (SAFe SPC5+)
• A record of effectively engaging and influencing senior and executive leadership
• Experience building a Lean engagement framework within a large organization
• Minimum of 3 years of practical Lean Continuous Improvement experience in applying
Continuous Improvement and Lean/Agile tools
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use financial measurements and key performance
indicators (KPIs) to manage business processes and results
• Experience in Lean Portfolio Management (LPM)
• PMP Certification
