Responsibilities
Responsible for developing microservices/APIs based Fraud Integration Platform solution design to modernize the Canadian Fraud Detection portfolio
Utilize the latest in technologies for best-in-class detection and scaling capabilities to meet enterprise needs
Participate in requirements, design, and architecture reviews to understand product capabilities and end-to-end functionality.
Accountable for applications/systems development, programming /coding ranging from highly complex and multifaceted, performing unit / component test for new application development
Utilize appropriate tooling for DevOps pipeline for code promotion
Adhere to standard security coding practices to ensure application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities and conducting scans to identify and address issues
Provide input into work estimates for upcoming sprints related to the development components, contributing to the overall project plan working with relevant team members / stakeholders
Produce high quality functional, technical and user interfaces that are aligned to target state architecture taking into consideration business, Enterprise Architecture, system performance and development standards / requirements
Consult on development of User Story creation & Story Refinement
Respect technology delivery practices and standards, project management disciplines, business technology architecture, and risk and production capacity – this includes thorough project requirements, documentation, scope estimates and costs.
Deliver effective and efficient solutions by meeting milestones and ensuring project deliverables are on time, within budget, and adhere to the corporate quality and security standards
Complete code walkthroughs with design team members/peers to address quality, standards compliance, reusability and ease of maintenance, Operational Readiness Reviews, and support gating
Support knowledge management processes and ensure knowledge is codified, monitored, tracked, and managed
Identify and address any issue that affects the integrity of the application ( e.g. cross-capability/release issues)
Correct and re-test defects identified during each testing cycle
Provide technical expertise in support of promptly resolve escalated incidents/outages
Communicate with key stakeholders of any issues that may impact other areas of the project and resolve or escalate issues as required
Support business enquiries and business activities through execution of small enhancements and break / fix implementations (e.g. source code changes)
Ensure both state-of-health monitoring and monthly SLA targets are in place, and are being met
Continuously enhance knowledge / expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies, emerging trends/developments and grow knowledge of the business, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques
Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines as assigned
Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
.Prepared to obtain knowledge of the business, technical environment, standards, processes, procedures, programming languages and operating systems
Performs complex to difficult technical tasks independently
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of technology, tools, various programming languages, processes, and procedures
Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:
Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate and/or 10+ years relevant experience
Graduate Degree preferred
Must have skills: JAVA, Spring/SpringBoot, REST API - JAVA, VMC cloud, JBOSS / NODE.JS, SQL, MQ, Jboss scripting/CLI, MS Azure (ASE, Kubernetes, Azure API, Azure Development) or AWS equivalent
Working Knowledge: GIT, Confluence, JIRA, Strong experience in DevOps pipeline, CI/CD and related tools
Nice to Haves:
Nice to Have: Confluent Kafka, OAuth and Event Driven messaging, Postman, O/S (Windows, Linux), prior FI experience
