Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for new applications and/or features.
Contribute to the definition of architectural visions and roadmaps for the platform, including working closely with product and technology owners
Collaborate with architects from other platforms and journeys to support a cross-functional enterprise approach when defining solutions
Participate & own the creation of key architecture artifacts such as Blueprints, Assessment of Options and Functional/Non-Functional Requirements
Participate in the definition of development specifications, technical requirements, system performance objectives, and identify necessary system modifications.
Provide insight and recommendations to develop and implement system architecture with business units and technology departments while creating awareness of TCO.
Build consensus, facilitate collaboration and decision-making within and across business units so IT strategy application aligns with architecture framework.
Identify, recommend, source, negotiate and implement emerging IT trends, developments and improvements and solutions (buy, build, reuse).
Lead in knowledge transfer meetings with senior management, team, other technical areas and business units.
Conduct and support architectural governance reviews of proposed solutions, including mentoring and fostering the growth of other architects
Provide recommendations on value-added architectural improvements / enhancements
Ensure adherence to enterprise and platform architecture strategy, roadmap, and principles
Foster solutions that advance the adoption of microservices, API & Events, and cloud
Foster solutions that are resilient, scalable, secure, and minimize technical debt.
Qualifications
Solutions Arch 10yrs
Experience defining and communicating multi-application solution architectures
Experience presenting to executive leadership, including disseminating complex concepts into simplified content for high-level consumption.
Nice to Haves:
Banking / financial services industry
Experience defining target state visions, strategies and roadmaps
Experience working on customer-facing digital applications is an asset.
Familiarity with Java, Angular, Azure, REST and event-based architectures is an asset.
Strong communication skills (written and oral)
