Our client has partnered with Randstad Engineering in the search for a Chemical Engineer - Product Development Specialist for their automotive division to join their growing team in Cambridge!

As a Product Development Specialist ( Chemical Engineer) , you will be responsible for:

• develop and launch products in the Automotive business unit
• develop and launch products in the Automotive and/or Industrial business units
• create and maintain BOM, Process Specs, Control Plans, & FMEA’s to be successfully communicated to all affected teams
• Liaise with customer and internal sales team overseeing program operation
• continuous improvement projects of cost and quality & capacity improvement as assigned by Product Development Manager
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to sales/marketing, manufacturing operations and customers

As a Product Development Specialist/chemical Engineer, you meet the following requirements:

• University Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (Bachelor, Masters or PhD)
• experience in a medium to large manufacturing environment (preferably in automotive sector), in a
product development role
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Domestic and international travel up to 30% pending assignments
