job description

Our client provides strategic planning, engineering and environmental science services to both public and private sector clients. They are seeking a Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Vancouver. The ideal candidate will be someone who can work with my client in continuing to build their practice with a particular emphasis on civil engineering, project leadership, and client relations.

Responsibilities:

Assisting in the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects;
Managing multi-disciplinary teams in completion of preliminary and detailed design projects;
Managing projects including project team direction, co-ordination, monitoring schedules and budgets;
Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public;
Using your considerable organizational, communication and people skills, you will collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets, and to high quality standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
Must be registered (or eligible to register) as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the province of BC;
7+ years of experience and knowledge of large and small site servicing design-build projects;
Progressive project experience in general civil engineering;
Strong project management, technical and analytical skills;
Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation and listening skills;
Strategic, analytical and practical thinker.
