    Our client in Elora, ON has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Civil Technologist to join their growing team! This role will include The role will be focused on providing civil design and drafting support for projects involving sanitary, storm sewer, service supply connections, watermain and water service connections, site grading and drainage, road design and storm water management using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.

    Responsibilities
    · Prepare permit drawings, outside plant construction drawings, and final as-built drawings using both AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
    · Prepare plan and profile drawings including duct design, occupancy, route alignment, manhole and structure details
    · Site inspections and data collection, including topographic surveys.
    · Review and validate designs in accordance with CSA standards, municipal and client standards
    · Interact with engineers and designers to develop preliminary and construction drawings from preliminary concepts, surveys and design standards
    · Quality control of own work to ensure that drawings are checked, approved and filed.
    · Attend and participate in project team meetings and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of project deliverables.


    Qualifications
    · Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology is required.
    · Two to four (2-4) years on the job experience as a CAD Technician / Designer.
    · C.E.T. designation or working towards C.E.T. designation is an asset.
    · Civil design experience involved with the industrial building sector is required.
    · Civil 3D experience required.
