What will you do?
As a Cloud Engineer with our Downtown Vancouver client, you will:
•Create/maintain company-wide infrastructure roadmap and prioritize execution.
•Set up necessary routines and processes to monitor high availability of systems and applications.
•Organize 24x7 support schedule and key support protocols.
•Monitor upgrades of critical vulnerabilities // automation of critical security events.
•Design/implement improvements reducing changes in changes delivery times.
•Work with product/projects teams to build projections for budget/scaling needs.
•Scale infrastructure in accordance with projections // automation of routine maintenance operations.
•Work with customers' audit teams if external due diligence or audit is performed.

How do you qualify?

To qualify for the Cloud Engineer role with our Downtown Vancouver client, you must have:
•5+ years’ extensive physical and cloud infrastructure experience.
•3-5 years’ experience working with Docker and Container Orchestration system (Kubernetes).
•Hands-on experience with >99.9% availability applications.
•Hands-on experience supporting business critical large scale applications.
•Practical experience with AWS, and preferably with Azure and Google Cloud.
•Great understanding of: DNS, networking, storage, load balancers, databases, application servers.
•Experience with accounting/bank/ ERP systems an asset.
•Experience with declarative infrastructure provisioning (Terraform) an asset.
