I'm looking for a CNC Machinist to permanently work full-time in a state-of-the-art facility in Nisku, AB which is equipped with top-tier CNC machinery including OKUMA, Mazak, and DMG Mori milling machines and lathes.
I'm looking for 1 machinist (JM / red seal ticket not mandatory) who has experience working with 4-axis CNC milling machines, particularly OKUMA, Mazak, and DMG Mori as well as lathes.
This role involves performing multiple custom machining tasks, focusing on setups, and modifications, and ensuring precision tolerances between 1thou to 5 thou.

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
Work and operate in safety conscious manner and environment
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy and precision in all tasks.
Set up and operate CNC machines, including Mazak, Okuma, and DMG Mori, to maximize efficiency and material use. This will include set-ups and mods for custom work and occasional require longhand in g-code / m-code
Handle materials and tools safely, adhering to all safety protocols.
Report any environmental or health & safety concerns promptly.
Select and use appropriate precision measuring instruments to ensure components are machined to specific tolerances and surface finishes.
Qualifications
What you bring:
Solid knowledge, skills, and experience with CNC machining, including lathes and 4 axis mills.
Ability to perform custom sets and mods including longhand coding in g-code / m-code
Strong understanding of blueprints and various symbols related to tolerances and surface finishes.
Proficient in selecting the correct inserts and tools for specific machining procedures.
Excellent organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
