Responsibilities
- Read and understand machining drawings
- Carry out the necessary assemblies on the CNC machines or conventional machine
-Write the program of the CNC machine
- Place and calibrate all the necessary tools (choose and mount the tools for cutting on machines)
- Adjust the cutting speed and the depth of cut according to the nature of the metal
- Perform the maintenance of CNC controlled, conventional machines andequipment
- Determine the machining operations to be performed and the optimal sequence of operations
- Machine parts, molds and components according to specifications requested
- Make jigs (divider, adapter, support)
- Calculate dimensions, tolerances and machining parameters
- Adjust machines to meet tolerances
- Carry out the anti-wear coating
- Resolve any programming or machining issues
- Repair defective parts and tools
- Check the conformity of the machined parts according to the specifications of the production sheet
- Measure the dimensions of machined parts using verniers and
micrometer and adjust as needed
- MIG welding
- Support and supervise the machine operators
Qualifications
- DEC or DEP with ASP in machining technique in CNC programming mandatory
- 3 years of experience as a CNC operator in steel or carbon an asset
- CNC machine programming experience
- Experience in MIG welding an asset
- Knowledge of IGF and Mastercam machining software an asset
-Good physical shape
-Must speak French
