    Are you an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist in Alberta? Do you have the ability to maintain and operate a CNC machine from programming & set up to performing modifications when needed? Are you a quick learner who likes to evolve with changing demands of the industry?

    If so, we are looking for a CNC machinist who is a high-level candidate, enjoys being a valued team player, strives for continuous learning and is experienced in a manufacturing shop. The shop is located south of Edmonton in the Nisku area. The environment is laid back and encouraging with a high-performing team. They are looking for someone who has a great positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic. You will be someone with a strong understanding of tool-making principles, able to work with minimal supervision, and with good organization, lastly, you have great attention to detail and take good pride in the work that you do.     ** Day and Night Shifts Available**

    Responsibilities
    - Operates CNC lathe properly to cut API and Premium connections.
    - Changes and sets up cutting tools, inserts and specialized equipment.
    - Performs regular preventative equipment maintenance and cleanup of equipment as per FIS policy
    - Operates tubular loading system.
    - Mentors junior employees.
    - Uses handheld measuring instruments to verify that all parts meet specifications.
    - Responsible for ensuring safety procedures and initiatives are executed, expediting and supporting incident reporting, and facilitating compliance.
    - Ensures Quality Assurance in accordance with specifications / gauging threads.
    - Maintains service reputation and customer satisfaction with proper and timely job execution.

    Qualifications
    - High school diploma.
    - Tubular knowledge is considered a big asset
    - Two to three years in a similar role in an oilfield/commercial/industrial/construction setting.
    - Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple stakeholders.
    - Excellent mechanical aptitude
    - Process thinker, with a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently.
    - Positive approach, with a willingness to do what is needed.
    - Strong team player with a positive attitude.
    - Be able to work with little supervision
    - Superior detail orientation; values accuracy and has high standards around the quality of work.
    - Exceptional organizational skills.
