CNC Programmer - CNC (4 & 5 Axis machines)

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Programmer with having experience operating & programming CNC machines (4 Axis & 5 Axis)

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Programming CNC code from provided CAD data utilizing Rhino NC software
• Setting up appropriate machining tools, offsets and materials as required
• Operating CNC machines and verifying finished components as required
• Interacting with Design Engineers/Project Leaders/Toolmakers/Apprentices to develop manufacturable components with an eye for product improvement and potential build issues
• Ensuring that the customer’s requirements, which include project timing, part quality and delivery, are understood and met
• Ensuring the shop environment is safe, clean and organized to enable timely and safe manufacturing techniques
• Observing all company safety rules, policies and procedures

Education and Experience:
• Post-secondary diploma from a technical college and/or university
• Minimum 3 years of experience on 3D cad/cam system
• Minimum 5 years knowledge of metal cutting and machining process
• Strong problem-solving techniques
• Production tooling experience an asset
• Ability to read blueprints
