Responsibilities
The Commercial Property Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of a portfolio of commercial properties. This includes ensuring optimal tenant satisfaction, maintaining property value, and achieving financial objectives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in property management, exceptional communication skills in English and French, and a strong understanding of commercial real estate operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Tenant Relations:
Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
Conduct regular tenant meetings and surveys to gauge satisfaction levels and gather feedback.
Lease Administration:
Negotiate and execute lease agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Monitor lease expirations, initiate renewals, and negotiate terms to maximize rental income.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage property budgets, including operating expenses, capital improvements, and revenue projections.
Oversee rent collection, lease enforcement, and handle delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements, ensuring properties are well-maintained and in compliance with industry standards.
Manage vendor relationships and procure services for maintenance and repairs.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
Property Inspections:
Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvements.
Address any issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate and distribute regular reports on property performance, financials, and other key metrics to stakeholders.
Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field
3+ years of experience in commercial property management
Strong knowledge of commercial real estate laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Proven ability to manage budgets and financial reports.
