The Compliance Associate, 3rd Party & Backcheck is responsible to ensure timeliness, correctness, and completeness of a Candidate’s or Sub-vendor’s file. They will also provide reporting and analysis. The Compliance Associate, 3rd Party & Backcheck, through our processes, is responsible for compliance awareness, control consciousness, plus monitoring and navigating the company towards higher quality. They report to the Compliance Team Lead

Responsibilities
- Submit Candidate background checks, per client requirements, in a timely manner, review to ensure they are correct plus complete, and that all Legislative, Client, and Randstad requirements are met.
- Distribute backcheck results and archive in accordance to Randstad’s privacy policy
- Daily intervention to escalate non-compliance issues, reporting & following up on remedies.
- Maintain and submit monthly Backcheck Billing tracker.
- Maintain Daily Deal report and Anniversary tracker to ensure we are compliant with our Clients
- Vendor Account Setups
- Assist with training our LOB’s on Backcheck processes and privacy policies
- Review sub-vendor files/documents in a timely manner to ensure they are correct plus complete, and that all Legislative, Client, and Randstad requirements are met.
- Set up sub-vendor and candidate placements in our internal system.
- Setup of placements & document review for our LOB’s placements (Bench, Mini Perm, Interco, Staffing, RSR)
- Where required prepare manual contracts, updates, or other documents.
- Payment reconciliation
- Provide reporting and analysis as needed.
- Process and system improvement suggestions to prevent non-compliance
- Execute special assignments as required
- Pro-actively contributing towards risk and compliance awareness and control consciousness
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications
Education, Skills and Experience
- High school diploma required, additional certification or college diploma in related field preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar or related role
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Workplace
- Fluent, verbally; written, in both official languages (French/English) an asset
Key competencies
-Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities and continuously deliver on expectations
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to judge & decide on what requires immediate attention and action with a sense of urgency to bring about the desired result
- Ability to work autonomously in a team-driven environment
- Result driven self-starter with the ability to get things done
- Ability to take ownership for escalated issues generated by assigned work and/or team & inform appropriate parties as required.
