This is a Construction Manager opportunity with the largest power distribution company in British Columbia. This is an on call position with anticipation to be working approximately twenty hours per month for a one year contract which is located near a sky train station in Burnaby. Given Canada is the world’s second largest producer of hydroelectricity, this opportunity will allow you diversity and growth in your career within the utility industry.
The primary scope of the Construction Manager position is to support projects on call and as required depending on project works. The Construction Manager leads the construction of one or more large projects with high complexity and diverse scope in support of completing projects safely, with quality. As the Construction Manager you will also be required to manage the allocation of materials, financial, and human resources, contribute to stakeholder engagement by using excellent skills in communication, as well as responding appropriately to internal and third-party construction inquiries.
The Construction Manager position is required having a minimum of nine years of construction management experience or equivalent, must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and must be fluent in English both verbally and written.
