Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections and job observations in the field to assess and report on HSE
behaviors, culture, successes/deficiencies, trends, and opportunities for improvement;
Engage employees, supervisors, clients, and contractors to help remedy HSE hazards and
risk;
Develop and/or lead monthly safety meetings;
Monitor client and site-specific HSE performance metrics and actively share with
employees;
Provide support and/or respond to incidents and critical near-misses;
Conduct and/or support incident investigations including root cause analysis, corrective
actions, and recommendations;
Coordinate and/or lead post-incident and critical near-miss
What we are looking for:
Someone who understands: the value of relationship building, the importance of
interfacing with workers, Supervisors and clients; and the importance of their role in
supporting continuous HSE improvement;
Qualifications
Knowledge of the OHS Act and Regulations
Excellent and professional written and oral communication skills
Excellent safety reporting skills
Above average observation skills
(to be able to recognize all workplace hazards and refer to OHSA regs)
Proficient with computer and mobile applications
Be able to work within a team environment as well as work without supervision
Be able to multi-task and meet deadlines as required
Be able to take direction and learn from Senior Health and Safety Professionals
+++MUST be bilingual English/French)
1-2 years’ HSE field experience with applicable certifications/designations (preferred)
Candidates who are dedicated to growing their HSE technical qualifications, skillsets,
and designations;*
