Randstad Engineering is seeking a Construction Superintendent on behalf of our client, a builder of sustainable, luxurious homes and communities in Southwestern Ontario.

The incumbent Candidate will be responsible for supervising all site construction activities and subcontractors on large scale development projects.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Procurement of materials, including coordination of delivery and inventory control
• Ensuring that all projects meet design, quality and scheduling targets/requirements
• Planning and supervising onsite functions, including assistance with scheduling, engineering, purchasing, cost accounting and material control
• Assisting the Project Manager with the development and implementation of procedures, working documents and standards
• Planning and supervision of subcontractors (including analyzing construction methods, manpower, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work scheduling, etc)
• Ensuring that tools and equipment are properly cleaned, maintained and used, and are returned to the shop after use


• Degree or Diploma in Construction Management or Technology, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience working on large scale developments
• Experience in High Rise construction (12+ storeys)
• Minimum 5-7 years in the industry with at least 2-3 years of supervisory experience
• Knowledge of a variety of construction-related disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling and cost control, quality assurance and engineering drawings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to relay technical information to employees, customers and other parties in an accurate and concise manner
