This is a Contract Manager position specializing in services contract with the largest power distribution company in British Columbia. This is a six month, full time position located in Burnaby. Given Canada’s the second largest producer of hydroelectricity, this position will allow you diversity and growth in your career within the utility industry.
The Contract Manager will perform pre and post award services contract management in Project Delivery. The Contract Manager will be responsible for performing formal managements of contracts with medium to high complexity, perform contract management activities by applying expert knowledge of contract management, review procurement plans, contracting plans, scopes of work, and specifications. As the Contract Manager you will also be responsible for establishing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and will also assist in the design and implementation of innovative strategies to enhance vendor management and optimize contract spend.
The Contract Manager must have a minimum of nine (9) years of contract management work experience, must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Law, Economics, or related discipline or equivalent, must be certified in Project Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent, must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office skills include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and must have advanced English skills both verbally and written.
