Responsibilities
Reporting to the President, your duties and responsibilities will include;
• Manage the job and project accounting operations
• Preparation of detailed analysis and related financial reports
• Prepare, analyze and present monthly, quarterly and annual operating results to the leadership team
• Preparation of monthly financial information and internal reporting
• Provide strategic analysis to drive improved decision-making
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process
• Monitor internal job and projects controls
• Lead, motivate and develop the Accounting team members
• Ad-hoc duties as required
Qualifications
• CPA designation
• 5+ years' of experience in a senior role
• Construction industry experience, including knowledge of the Construction Lien Act, and cost of completion accounting
• ASPE knowledge and experience
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop high-performing teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment and under pressure with tight deadlines
• ERP experience is ideal, primarily Jonas
