This role is for a position within the Advanced Process Control (APC) department. The APC department works with mine sites around the world (both remotely and on site) to deploy and integrate optimization solutions for the benefit of clients and industry. This role is ideal for someone who is driven, enjoys travelling and has an analytical mind.

Responsibilities
• Design and engineering of instrumentation and control systems
• Design, sizing, and selection of instruments (valves, flow meters, pressure transmitter, etc.)
• Design and drafting of P&ID's
• On-site commissioning and remote support of mineral processing plants
• Deployment and integration of "smart instruments" at client sites
• Producing technical documentation (e.g. functional descriptions, instrument lists, instrument datasheets, reports, specifications, drawings)
• Conducting feasibility studies(with focus on instrumentation and control,
operations optimization)
• Conducting data and control loop analysis
• R&D initiatives for developing innovative solutions for the mineral processing industry
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation/Control Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ Years of experience in project engineering and commissioning (Mining and mineral processing plants); desirable but not mandatory
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• International work experience would be beneficial, or the proven ability to work with different cultures on a technical project
• Commissioning experience of mineral processing plants
• Experience working with AutoCAD Plant 3d (P&ID) or similar design software packages;
desirable but not mandatory
• Experience working with control systems(ABB, DeltaV, Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, Honeywell, etc.) and/or loop tuning; desirable but not mandatory
