Our client, one of Canada's largest retailers, is hiring a Communications Specialist for their head office in Brampton.

Responsibilities include:
• Researching new journalists / outlets for strategic storytelling opportunities (eg NYT multimedia for 350)
• Support pulling together briefs
• proofread entire site for any discrepancies
• Coordinate photographer for real estate images
• Daily media monitoring and compiling media analyses for major company and competitor announcements, events and initiatives
• Managing media inquiry trackers and industry news databases
• Maintaining measurement tracker and compiling quarterly coverage recaps
• Conducting in-depth research on relevant issues and industry news, including data/stats

Advantages
up to $24/hr
2.5 month contract with long term potential (into 2020)

Qualifications
Previous media experience required
Excellent communication experience
