Responsibilities
- Oversees and analyses comprehensive project budgets detailing all costs.
- Managing extensive cash flow schedules.
- Project transactions including AP, AR, accruals, fixed assets maintenance.
- To regulate the financial data in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, implement internal cost control systems, operational processes, and reporting systems.
- Recognize and explain project contractual and commercial terminology.
- Share reporting information and interpretations with management.
- Has an impact on the formation and execution of collective bargaining agreements
- Gathering third-party invoices to supplement client billing.
- Candidates must prepare monthly billings for equipment rentals.
- Working with field teams and the payroll team will ensure that time entries are done promptly.
- Communicating with the PM team will help identify possible change orders.
Qualifications
A degree in finance or a recognized accounting qualification are requirements.
- Candidates should be actively enrolled in the CPA program or hold a Professional Accounting Designation (CPA-CA, CGA, or CMA).
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in financial accounting and reporting. (Experience in the construction industry is a plus).
- Candidates should be able to address problems creatively and offer recommendations for improvements.
- Proven ability to assess financial data, draw conclusions, and make suggestions using concepts, practices, and auditing procedures from quality assurance.
- Excellent written and vocal communication abilities.
- Strong presenting abilities, including the ability to convey topics simply and accurately.
- Exhibited good interpersonal skills in developing strong, cooperative relationships with PMs, CMs, and VPs.
Summary
Compensation: 40-50/hour depending on experience
Duration: 6 months - contract to hire
