Responsibilities
Safely and confidently operate a Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift to move LTL freight across a high-volume dock.
Load and unload various types of transportation trailers, ensuring weight distribution is perfectly balanced and secure.
Work independently to prioritize daily shipments based on strict dispatch and departure schedules.
Visually inspect freight to identify and report any damaged goods or discrepancies before they are loaded for transport.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free dock floor to ensure maximum safety and a smooth transition for the morning crew.
Qualifications
Valid Forklift Ticket/Certification (Required).
Must be available for afternoon training before moving to the regular night shift.
1–2 years of experience operating a Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift.
Previous experience with LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight is a major asset.
Must have CSA-approved steel-toed boots and high-visibility gear.
