- Assess and determine the future development of the EPC Distribution and Network system in the best interests of EPC customers and in compliance with EPC’s Planning Standard
- Responsible to identify system capacity requirements, develop scopes of work, advise on system investment criteria, and seek DOA approval for the execution of customer driven system growth projects
- Participate as a key stakeholder in our Client's customer connection process by providing direction for large customer system connections
- Accountable for project oversight which includes reviewing changes to system scope, obtaining appropriate approvals, and monitoring/reporting on project progress
- Develop, improve, and maintain Customer Planning standards, procedures, processes or guidelines
- Produce and maintain Long term plans for the addition of large customers and developments
- Support Key Accounts in developing and maintaining customer account plans by assessing customer load and system infrastructure requirements
- Supporting the System Development Cycle deliverables including:
o Load forecast
o Project justification
o System development plan
- Responsible for identification of electrical system deficiencies for the development and justification of effective and prudent solutions.
- Responsible for identification and resolution of deficiencies within existing processes and development of new processes.
- Accountable for short term and long term customer connection system plans and plays an integral role in the successful delivery of EPC’s customer connection projects. Success in this role directly impacts Technical Services’ project execution in terms of scope, quality and schedule.
- Contributes to ensuring that the capacity and reliability needs of customers can be met and sustained into the future such that EPC continues to provide reliable customer service.


Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical) - Must have
Registration with APEGA , Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) - Must have
Minimum 6 years of experience- Must have
Sound engineering and operational knowledge of distribution utility systems - Must have
Strong verbal and written articulation skills. Organized and proactive - Must have
Experience in operations or distribution design - Important
Project management experience - Important
Familiarity with Cymdist distribution system load flow program or other load flow programs - Nice to have
Regulatory experience - Nice to have
Background in Planning principles and Distribution/Network system assessment - Nice to have
Technical writing and process development - Nice to have
