We are currently hiring a Customs Specialist for a 12 month contract. This position is working hybrid in North Vancouver and has the potential to lead to a long term opportunity! You play an active role in supporting the local Customs & Trade team ensuring all day-to-day responsibilities and accountabilities are met. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities
As the Customs Specialist your responsibilities will include:
- Review and respond to email requests from customs brokers.
- Collect required information and respond in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize business systems and internal colleagues to ensure accurate and relevant information is gathered and properly maintained.
- Add required data elements to business systems to ensure department data is complete.
- Support team members with multiple tasks, projects, and day-to-day operations
- Respond to information requests from brokers and team members to ensure fast and compliant shipment processing.
- Support new product launches by providing customs data.
- Support team projects, including duty savings projects, customs filings, process improvements, automation, audits, etc. as required by department priorities
Qualifications
As the Customs Specialist your qualifications will include:
- Must have strong Microsoft Excel experience and knowledge
- Must have strong communication skills (written and oral) and are fluent in English
- Prefer experience with SAP GTS, Amber Road/E2Open, Centric or similar systems
- You possess strong time management skills, with ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks
- You have a strong understanding of business math, percentages, and conversions
- You have well-developed analytical skills with high level of accuracy
- You have experience with Microsoft Office
