Are you a Security Consultant looking to write your next chapter in your career?Are you looking for your next role to be more than a job?Are you looking for diversity in the work that you complete?We are pleased to offer you this new and exciting permanent requirement for the position of:SECURITY CONSULTANTADVANTAGESYou will have an opportunity with leading organizations in various engagements needing your expertise in Security practices.RESPONSIBILITIES-You will work with various clients on security consulting engagements-You will work with project teams across organizations to provide guidance, oversight, and detailed review of security engineering outputs. -You will ensure appropriate security engineering lifecycle principles are included from project initiation through design, implementation, operation, and disposal.-You identify security gaps and leverage existing controls or recommend new capabilities to reduce risk. -You will help business stakeholders understand and accept or further mitigate the residual risks. -You will verify and provide evidence of systems security through detailed analysis and creation of risk assessments, policies, procedures, assessments, and documents. -You will work with senior leadership on the results of your analysis and highlight key areas of risk.QUALIFICATIONS-A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline-Able to interface with and brief senior leadership on complex and technical topics-Passionate about IT Security-Have experience in consulting-Your experience has been as a Security Analyst, Security Engineer, Security Architect levels-Completed, or aspire towards CISSP, SANS, or OSCP certificationExperience/Knowledge/Interest in some of the areas below:-Experience authoring documentation for the Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) process or the former Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process for National security systems-Experience working with a systems development life cycle (SDLC) approach to risk management (ITSG-33) and security engineering (NIST 800-160)-Experience with the ITSG-33 security control catalogue and NIST 800-53 security control set-Familiarity with National Defense Security Orders and Directives (NDSOD)-Familiarity with NIST's Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)-Familiarity with Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (NIST 800-171, NIST 800-172)-Experience in building and maintaining security systems-Experience completing threat risk assessments (TRAs)ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT-You must have been in Canada for the last 5 years in order to be considered for this opportunity you must qualify for Controlled Goods Security Clearance (CGP)/Enhanced -Background check is requiredSUMMARYDo you have this experience?
