Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Cybersecurity Incident Response team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure efficient incident handling and resolution.
- Develop and maintain an incident response program, including incident response plans, procedures, and playbooks.
- Conduct regular assessments of the organization's security posture and identify vulnerabilities and potential risks.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, such as IT, legal, and communications, to ensure a coordinated and effective response to incidents.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and preservation of evidence related to security incidents.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities, and provide recommendations for enhancing the organization's incident response capabilities.
- Manage relationships with external incident response vendors, law enforcement agencies, and industry peers.
- Conduct post-incident analysis and prepare comprehensive reports, including lessons learned and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and deliver incident response training and awareness programs to educate employees on best practices and response procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in cybersecurity incident response, including managing complex incidents and leading incident response teams.
- In-depth knowledge of incident response frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27035, or SANS.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, systems, and applications.
- Familiarity with security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and endpoint security solutions.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
