An established family-run lumber firm here in beautiful Chemainus BC is seeking a top Data Administrator to support the Finance and Accounting team.

The person in this position has a detail oriented personality and loves working with spreadsheets, systems and ensuring everything is balanced and accurate.

Opportunity: Full time permanent position
Location: Chemainus, BC
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm
Salary: $40,000 - 42,000 to start
Start: As soon as possible

Your Main Responsibilities;
• Data entry, validation, formula checking, and reconciliation in Excel - using and compiling various data sources
• Light accounting duties and data entry
• Data analysis and reporting
• Produce regular and adhoc accounting related reports
• Typing correspondence, proof-reading and mailing
• Ad hoc accounting projects as designated by the Controller
• Assisting with various month end duties or year end duties

Requirements for the Role;
• Minimum 2 years' work experience in office environment preferred
• Experience working with data, and intermediate working knowledge of Excel
• An aptitude for numbers and problem solving
• Self-starter, able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Superior attention to detail and highly organized providing timely, accurate and complete information
• Accounting and mathematical reasoning skills required

• Starting salary of $40,000 - 42,000
