This is a Data Analyst opportunity with the largest power distribution company located in British Columbia. This is a one year, full time contract located in Burnaby. Given Canada’s the second largest producer of hydroelectricity, this position will allow you diversity and growth in your career within the utility industry.

The Data Analyst is responsible for facilitating complex decision making in support of the design and implementation of business change or improvement initiatives. As the Data Analyst you will be responsible for translating business insight into strategic, actionable options by obtaining and organizing key business information, enabling informed decision- making, must facilitate decision- making across diverse groups of stakeholders by using excellent skills in communication, critical thinking, and persuasive influencing to deliver recommendations that align to the business goals. The Data Analyst must maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders by prioritizing strategic considerations so that projects are implemented as planned.

The Data Analyst will have a minimum eight (8) years of strategic business analysis experience or equivalent, must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Law, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline. As the Data Analyst you will need to have advanced English skills for a professional environment both verbally and written. The successful candidate will also have two (2) years or more experience using SAS and Tableau for data analysis, and will have experience with data analytics, and data modelling.
