Experience building visualizations in R Shiny, SAS, Python, Esri/ArcGIS, Microsoft PowerBI, and PowerViewer, Cognos
Experience working in an agile/iterative project environment
Total BI and Analytics Experience - 35%
Experience developing business intelligence and various analytics resources
Experience with cleaning, transforming, integrating, and visualizing data sets
Experience understanding a data model
Experience with SQL and using queries to extract relevant data
Demonstrated knowledge of emerging Business Intelligence trends and directions
Experience with dimensionalized data/building cubes
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in psychometry/psychometrics would be an asset
Communication Skills - 20%
Demonstrated consulting and relationship management skills, with proven ability to elicit requirements,develop/consult on options and solutions, and provide effective guidance
Strong verbal and written communication skills; with both technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision making skill
Strong leadership and collaboration skills
A demonstrated team player with a track record for meeting deadlines

Responsibilities
Lead the development and delivery of functional and ministry-specific analytics to support evidence-based decision-making and produce actionable insights. Work closely with clients groups to assess current data analytics and reporting capabilities, gather future-state requirements and identify further opportunities for improvement. Facilitate decision-making and manage client expectations. Own the execution of analytics initiatives including end-to- end reporting and data set delivery. Develop robust statistical models and machine learning algorithms to model business scenarios and extract valid inferences. Participate in documentation, development, testing, and end user training.
Qualifications
Skills:
Statistical modelling using R script
Experience with land-use planning, child care, StatsCan demographics, and Ontario Open Data is an asset
Experience integrating R Script into Microsoft Power BI
Experience with predictive analytics
Experience with dimensionalized data / building cubes
