Responsibilities
1. Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data
pipelines using Python, PySpark, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) techniques to ingest
and transform data from various sources.
2. Cloud Integration: Collaborate with cloud architects to integrate data engineering
solutions into cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, ensuring data
security and performance.
3. Dimensional Modeling: Design and implement data models, including star and
snowflake schemas, to support analytical and reporting needs.
4. Data Quality and Governance: Establish and maintain data quality standards and
governance practices to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
5. Reporting and Visualization: Create interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI
or other tools to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or
a related field is required.
2. 5-7 Years of Data Engineering Experience: The ideal candidate should have a proven
track record of 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing
and implementing data pipelines.
3. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Python and PySpark is essential, along with hands-
on experience in Databricks. Additionally, experience with cloud platforms such as
Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is necessary.
4. Dimensional Modeling Expertise: Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling principles
and experience in designing data warehouses and data marts.
5. Data Visualization Skills: Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tools to
create meaningful reports and dashboards.
