As the Contractor, Data Governance Program Manager, it will be your responsibility to partner with various business and technology stakeholders to influence and drive adoption of related Enterprise Data Management strategies, policies, standards and control frameworks. The role evaluates established and emerging data practices and technologies, while implementing processes and solutions.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Develop data governance frameworks tailored to the client's needs, including but not limited to data
classification, data privacy and regulations, data quality, metadata management, and data policies, standards,
and procedures.
Lead the implement of a data stewardship program, identify data stewards across departments and develop
training and education on their roles and responsibilities.
Collaborate with internal teams to define data lifecycle management policies and procedures, including data
retention, archival, and disposal practices, to optimize data utilization while minimizing risks.
Document data governance processes, policies, and procedures and provide regular updates and reports to
senior management.
Collaborate with business units to understand data needs and challenges and ensure data governance
initiatives are addressing current and future business objectives.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements related to data governance and
recommend appropriate modifications to existing policies and practices
Qualifications
Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
Minimum five (5) years technical/project leadership experience.
Proven experience in developing and implementing successful data governance frameworks.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Self-motivated and quick learner
Ability to lead project teams
Required Skills:
Strong business and IT technical knowledge
Technical champion with people-first mentality
Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to work with all levels of IT staff and business users
Strong influence and persuasion skills at all levels
Strong understanding of data governance tools and technologies.

Writing technical documentation
Ability in diagnosing complex problems and providing detailed analysis and recommendations
Education:
