Our downtown Toronto client is looking for an experienced Senior Data Modeller for an exciting 6 month project to start. If you have at least three to seven years of experience in or with:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Extensive experience with developing and sustaining data models after data profiling in large scale DataMart or Data Warehouse solutions.
• Extensive experience in creating artifacts based on provided business requirements and creating high level data architecture/models, and other semantic diagrams and dashboard mock-ups
• Knowledge of data modelling and data profiling / data quality tools including Embarcadero ER Studio and SAP information Steward.
• Considerable Experience in multi-dimensional data modeling techniques and implementing enterprise wide reporting and analytic platforms
• Considerable experience developing data extract transform & load (ETL) processes using various tools (OWB, ODI, PL/SQL etc.)
• University degree in computer science or the approved equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Technical Capabilities:

• Considerable experience working on projects that utilize the following:
o Data Profiling tools: SAP Information Stewards, other tools
o Data Modelling tool: Embarcadero ER Studio, Erwin, Toad, Others
o ETL Tools: Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), PL/SQL Developer, Toad
o Development and version control tools: IBM RAD 7/RAD 8, Android Studio, Tortoise SVN
o Databases, languages and management toolsets: Oracle 11g/12c, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, Toad
o Operating systems: Win 7/8/10, Linux / Unix

• Demonstrated competencies and knowledge of relational database structures, theories, principles, and dimensional data modeling skills
• Hands on experience utilizing Data Governance and Management frameworks offered by industry analysts and data management organizations including DAMA.
