This is a contract position for a Database Administrator for our client who is in the Broader Public Sector. Work location will be in Downtown Toronto.
This is a Hybrid Role with 3 days in the office a week. This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.

Responsibilities
Creates physical database designs and operates and administers the database management system (DBMS) including database optimization, capacity planning, installation and migration, database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery .
Qualifications
3+ years experience - Infrastructure and server maintenance
Demonstrated experience leading branch environment management, build and deployment activities, release notes creation, etc.
Demonstrated experience supporting change management processes within the agreed scope, schedule, and project expectations
Demonstrated experience providing clarification to designers, developers, and testers at various stages of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure that any changes or enhancements are fully regression tested and validated
Demonstrated experience with infrastructure management, including server inventory, infrastructure change process, etc.
Demonstrated experience performing server capacity planning, and defining server specifications
Demonstrated experience with the design and development of infrastructure support projects
Demonstrated experience with inventory management of software and/or licenses
