Detailing Manager
Edmonton, AB

Are you an Engineer that has five (5) plus years of commercial and industrial Project Management experience involving rebar? Are looking to become a valuable member of a busy team that provides you with the opportunity to work and play hard? If so, our client is looking for you.

Detailing Manager duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

•Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: Supervisory, Execution of Projects & Strategic Planning, Documentation and Reporting, Financial Accountabilities, Communication, Values and Purpose and Health and Safety
•Oversight of planning, implementation, and tracking of all key project phases
•Definition of the scope of a project while working in collaboration with the contractor
•Creation of detailed project plans that identifies and sequences the activities needed to complete the project successfully
•Development of a schedule for project completion and the determination of objectives and measurables
•Performance management of team
•Accurate project file set-up and documentation
•Regular reporting of project status
•Summarization of project close-out documents.

Detailing Manager Qualifications

•Diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institute in the fields of either Architectural Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Project Management or similar
•Five (5) plus years of commercial and industrial Project Management experience related to rebar
•Specific experience with rebar reinforcing, either drafting, estimating or coordinating
•Exceptional knowledge of construction drawings and documents
•Previous engagement on a project support team
•Previous experience planning and completing small projects
•Comprehensive knowledge of construction drawings and construction work methods, specific to concrete reinforcing
•Comprehensive knowledge of project sequencing, resources and objectives
•Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
•Knowledgeable in contract documents
•Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
•Knowledgeable in aSa software
•Proficient with MS Office tools and Primavera or MS Project
