    Responsibilities
    • Translate complex security-related matters into terms that are understood by software and business teams.
    • Interpret business, technology and threat drivers, and contribute to security roadmaps to deal with these drivers.
    • Collaborate with other infrastructure, DevOps, InfoSec and application engineers to understand the product, technology and business needs.
    • Review application code for security vulnerabilities.
    • Develop security and compliance capabilities in support of DevOps processes.
    • Maintain cloud infrastructure architecture aligning security, compliance, performance and resilience.
    • Build security utilities and tools for internal use that enable the engineering teams to operate at high speed and wide scale.
    • Research security industry trends and best practices to share with the organization through presentations and training sessions.
    • Participate in an on-call rotation for 24x7 support of security operations.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
    • 7+ years in a software engineering role; 10+ years in IT.
    • Understanding and ability to work within architectural frameworks.
    • Successful track record delivering quality results on complex cross-functional projects.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Recognized security and cloud-specific certifications (e.g. CCSP, SSCP, CISSP, CCSK, GWAP, AWS Solutions Architect).
    • In-depth knowledge of AWS services and hands-on experience.
    • Experience in performing security vulnerability assessments, including familiarity with PCI and SOX.
    • Knowledge of SSO methodologies (SAML, LDAPS, AD).
    • Experience in DevOps environments and maintaining security in CI/CD processes.
    • Experience in HashiCorp Vault and AWS Secrets Manager.
    • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
    • Experience developing infrastructure as code (Terraform).
    • Strong programming/scripting knowledge - Go, Python, Bash, etc.
