Responsibilities
● Client focused leader who will develop and lead a portfolio of projects & clients
● Have demonstrable experience in leading and growing a Transportation Service line of business
● Contribute to and lead business and strategic development initiatives for regional objectives and target client programming
● Provide thought leadership, regulatory oversight and mentorship to the team and your clients, both internal and external
● Ability to serve as project director, relationship manager and/or engagement team member for national and regional relationships with public sector clients and contractor partners
● Supervise the delivery of multidisciplinary projects within Highways, Roads & Bridges teams
● Working with our Project Management Office (PMO), Engineering Design Office (EDO) and regional design teams to socialize, collaborate, promote, and advance the understanding of progressive and traditional Design Build project delivery and the necessary skills, behavior, and deliverable expectations of our design managers and discipline design teams
● Contribute to the mentoring and development of staff
● Championing Safety and Quality
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 15 years experience working in transportation in Western Canada
● Professional Engineer registered or eligible in British Columbia and Alberta
● Experience with corporate strategic planning initiatives and a demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategies
● Demonstrated considerable understanding of the overall Transportation Market in Western Canada and more broadly in North America, including future influences and trends
● Outstanding interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to interact effectively within all levels of the organization in a collaborative fashion
● Demonstrated leadership capabilities in the areas of personnel management, decision making, change management, employee development, performance management, and team building skills
● Strong business acuity and commercial skills
● Agile self-starter with a proactive, strategic, and creative approach
● Outstanding client engagement and relationship skills
● Experience managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a demanding consulting environment
● Ability to work under conflicting responsibilities, meet required deadlines, and manage and organize processes and procedures
● Excellent writing and verbal communication is required
● Willingness and ability to travel
