Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the day-to-day operations in the procurement department
- Actively participating as part of the senior leadership team
- Providing strategic direction to the team
- Increasing efficiency, negotiating with vendors while finding cost-saving opportunities
- Liaise with internal departments
- Creating and implementing internal policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a similar role as a Director or Manager
- Very organized, efficient and resourceful - proven track record in increasing efficiency
- Ability to juggle competing priorities, leading a team and experience with setting directions
- Outstanding work ethic with a great sense of urgency
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic planning experience with a focus on cost savings
- Comfortable with analyzing, validating, and managing large amounts of data
