The Director of Enterprise Architecture will report to the CIO and will lead the strategic business and technical vision through an effective enterprise architecture road map. Develop models of the organization’s current state and recommendations for a future state. Work to control the current and the proposed technology components of the IT portfolio and support buy/sell/hold decisions that maximize return, minimize risks, and create appropriate future options. Provide recommendations and direction through a proficient understanding of infrastructure, software, data, and systems engineering. Define and execute standards and governance to improve IT operations.ADVANTAGESYou'll have the opportunity to work for one of Canada's largest Health Industry.Amazing work-life balanceAmazing compensation package.RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage, develop and collaborate with a high-performance team of IT architects- Establish and maintain TOGAF based Enterprise Architecture framework, governance, and processes appropriate for our enterprise systems as well as our SaaS product.- Establish and maintain the Enterprise Architecture Roadmap and associated strategic technology planning for the IT systems in support of our technical business capabilities and ensure it is aligned with the strategic organization plans.- Develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation, and use of information technologies within the enterprise.- Manage architectural risks associated with IT assets through the development, use, and promotion of the appropriate standards and policies.- Collaborate with units within IT and provide a consensus-based enterprise solution that isscalable, adaptable, and synchronized with the ever-changing business needs.- Work with various business and IT stakeholders to demonstrate and show the business value of enterprise-wide shared infrastructure and to show the value of any new strategic platforms being considered.- Evangelize and champion the benefits of Enterprise Architecture to business and technical audiences.- Chair IT Review Board.- Develop, communicate, and deploy Enterprise Architecture Governance processes.- Develop and communicate enterprise technology standards and policies.- Review new and existing program/project architecture for compliance with IT standards, policies, and architectural plans.QUALIFICATIONS- Education - University Degree, BSc degree in Computer Science or related discipline – MSc qualification an asset- 15 years of previous related experience, complex future state planning affecting core systems and processes – combination or all areas of business analysis, applications/systems engineering,data/information architectures and technical architectures- Minimum of 10 years of experience designing complex, integrated solutions- 5+ years of management/leadership experience required- Knowledge of infrastructure components, virtualization technologies, middleware / SOA, and SaaS/Paas/IaaS solutions- Strong knowledge of design and architectural patterns, IT standards, and policies.- Experience of ‘system of systems’ architecture development, partitioning of functionality among applications and components, and application interfaces/interoperability concerns- Experience in software development methodologies and structured approaches to system development- Awareness of systems management and operational support tools Security and/or infrastructure experience would also be a significant benefitSUMMARYFor immediate consideration, please send your resume to edwin.chang@randstad.ca
