ATTENTION ALL DISPATCHERS!!!!

We have an amazing opportunity in Vancouver BC for our busy client who is looking for a responsible, safe and dependable Dispatcher. Reporting to the Distribution Manager, this position is responsible for dispatching of aggregate materials by barge and by truck within the greater Vancouver area.

The Dispatcher plays an integral role in proving superior customer service while maintaining an emphasis on product quality and costs. If you are passionate about serving the customer and want to grow with an industry leader, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
- Directs and problem solves the drivers on all aspects of aggregates delivery and barge offload.
- Dispatch and monitor (while in Transit) of all aggregate trucking and barges.
- Responsible for fleet performance and driver delivery according to optimization, quality, cost, safety and environmental targets.
- Coordination with sales on product ordering requirements to ensure adequate levels of inventory.
- Responsible for monitoring daily plant and depot inventory levels and barge schedules.
- Ensures accurate ticketing, invoicing, and processing of all aggregate sales & delivery services.
- Interacts with customers regarding quality, trucking, barging, and customer service related issues.

Qualifications
Who we are looking for:

- 3+ years experience in either sales or dispatch is preferred
- Some post=secondary education is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Familiar with WCB/Employment Standards/Ministry of Transportation policies and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends on a rotating basis
- Must have proven organizational & multi-tasking skills
