Responsibilities
-Control and Information Systems Management
-Maintain automation and control systems at the facility, including distributed control systems (DCS), programmable controllers, Safety Instrumented System, and Industrial Information Systems.
-Secure systems for reliable operation consistent with corporate standards, codes and standards, and best practice.
-Ensure that automation and control systems documentation is established and maintained to protect design integrity.
-Follow established change management processes.
-Assist in managing the Industrial cyber security and IT
-Assist with troubleshooting for Plant Operations.
-Ensure systems comply with policy, standards, procedures and are working towards best practices.
-Assist in the development and maintenance of the site’s critical controls program.
-Support the maintenance of business IT systems in liaison with Corporate IT.
-Support the maintenance department in procuring specialized items and help developing relevant equipment maintenance strategies (PM, PdM, etc.)
-Hire and supervise 3rd party contractors to safely execute work at the facility. Prepare safe work plans and manage the safe execution of contract work.
-Identify, implement, and execute capital and maintenance projects within established scope, schedule, and budget.
-Troubleshoot complex instrumentation related issues and provide engineering level support to resolve.
-Manage aspects of the plant biannual maintenance turnaround
Qualifications
-Certified Engineering Technologist or Professional Engineer preferred.
-Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
-minimum 10 years design, configuration, and administration of DCS/PLC hardware and software.
-Experience DeltaV / ABB DCS and Siemens / Allen Bradley PLC experience preferred.
-Ability to collaborate within a cross-sectional team with varied skills and backgrounds to drive improvement.
-Strong interpersonal and team skills.
-Ability to demonstrate troubleshooting skills and experience.
-Ability to identify root causes and implement action plans to eliminate them.
-Demonstrated experience managing instrumentation and or control projects
-Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills to all levels and audiences
