This role will include collaboration with engineers and designers to produce Electrical Designs for health care, institutional, and commercial buildings.

Responsibilities
Work with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain design information and quotes, and generate specifications
Assist in the preparation of design drawings and schematics in AutoCAD and Revit
Oversee projects during construction; work with contractors and respond to technical inquiries
Attend site visits to complete measurements and investigations of on-site equipment
Assist in the development of building service size calculations and equipment selections
Assist with feeder sizing and voltage drop calculations
Assist with selection of protective devices and coordination
Development of photometric (lighting) models
Qualifications
Bachelor's of Engineering Degree or Diploma in Engineering Technology
Relevant experience in building systems design.
LEED certification and project experience is an asset.
Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, applicable CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES and NFPA Codes and Standards.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to team members in a clear manner
Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work in a team and independently
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Relevant work experience or academic project experience related to building systems would be an asset
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models (ex. AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) is required
