Our client in the Burlington area has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for an Electrical Engineer to join their team! As an Electrical Engineer, you would research and design control panels & automated control systems within the Electrical Hardware Design team.

In this role, specific responsibilities would include:
• Participate in kick off meetings to determine project scope, requirements, deliverables, budget, costing and schedules.
• Work with the Mechanical Design team to confirm design details.
• Research and analyze requirements and technical specifications to satisfy end-user requirements.
• Develop the equipment motor lists (e.g. room designation, loading, single line diagrams, VFD sizing, detailed electrical calculations, etc.) and device lists.
• Produce design documents, schematics, and process control diagrams
• Design and develop drive panels & PLC control panels that meet customer specifications.
• Provide onsite installation, troubleshooting, debugging, commissioning and maintenance support for systems in the field.

As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
• Electrical Engineering Degree or related field
• 5+ years of experience designing low voltage power distribution drive panels & PLC control panels
• Advanced knowledge of EPLAN (version 2.0 or above) and/or AutoCAD Electrical software for design and development of industrial electrical projects and documentation is a must
• Knowledge of Electrical Codes - NFPA79, NEC, CEC, CSA and IEC/EN as well as Panel Design Standard UL5 08A is an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
