Responsibilities
Contribute to long-term capital goals via the development of project executive summaries, estimates, scope of work documents, risk registers, functional descriptions, design reviews, drawing updates, scheduling, installation, and commissioning.
Initiate and oversee projects that have been identified as required by operations as well as provide Electrical Engineering support to various other projects.
Supervise and direct employees and contractors as required, to ensure safety and quality requirements are met.
Assist area maintenance and automation teams during complex troubleshooting.
Ensure designs meet specifications and all applicable codes & standards.
Create and maintain Electrical Engineering drawings as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications
4+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
Degree in Electrical Engineering from an APEGA recognized institution.
Registered with APEGA as a P.Eng.
Experience with AutoCAD is required.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities to a timeline and budget, while still realizing project benefits.
Eager to learn and take on new challenges.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated responsible attitude towards safety.
Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
Continually strive to meet our customer goals.
Experience working in a heavy industrial environment is an asset.
