Our client in the Halton Hills area has partner with Randstad Engineering in the search for an Electrical Engineer/Hardware Designer to join their team for a 6 month contract.

As a Hardware Designer, you will be responsible for:

• Providing onsite installation, troubleshooting, debugging, commissioning and maintenance support for systems in the field
• Researching and analyzing requirements and technical specifications
• Producing design documents, schematics, and process control diagrams
• Designing and developing drive panels & PLC control panels

As a qualified hardware designer, you meet the following requirements:

• Electrical Engineering or related Degree
• 5+ years of experience designing low voltage power distribution drive panels & PLC control panels
• Knowledge of Electrical Codes - NFPA79, NEC, CEC, CSA and IEC/EN as well as Panel Design Standard UL5 08A is an asset
• Knowledge of E-plan (version 2.0 or above) and AutoCAD software for design and development of industrial electrical projects and documentation
