Responsibilities
Position Description
•Develop new product designs for 208-575V power supply, optimizing components and layout.
•Strong knowledge of applicable codes to be applied to the designs.
•Control logic and wiring design, selection and evaluating instrumentation.
•Programming controllers and testing on simulators.
•Generate applicable drawings and bills of materials for equipment.
•Sourcing, reviewing and purchasing components for mechanical assemblies.
•Work with operations personnel to gain feedback for product development and refinement.
•Testing and evaluating the electrical design of the units on the test stand for proper operating sequences.
•Troubleshooting designs as needed.
•Preparation of technical documents.
•Work with sub-vendors to finalize the components.
•Evaluate the design in the final product format and functionality.
•Work with vendors to refine and optimize the designs.
•Support production and sales.
Qualifications
Experience
8+ years of experience with machine design and development
Previous work on CAD software/Solidworks
Experience with electrical power design, Inverter, and VFD drives
PLC controllers and programming languages, Instrumentation
Experience with any HVAC equipment is beneficial
Education
Electrical Engineering Degree or Electrical Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma
